This policy explains what personal data JobHeJob collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data: your email, name, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) and account type.
- Profile data you add: headline, location, skills, experience, a short bio and, optionally, a CV file.
- Activity: saved jobs, applications submitted on JobHeJob and their status, and when you open an external application link.
- Employer data: company details, job listings and applicant-status decisions.
- Usage data: anonymous first-party counts of searches and clicks (search text, job id and time — no IP address or device fingerprint), and Google Analytics data if you consent.
- Messages: anything you send through the contact or report forms.
How we use it
- To run your account, show your saved jobs and applications, and recommend relevant listings.
- To send your application (profile, note and CV) to the employer you apply to — and only to that employer.
- To keep the platform safe, investigate reported listings and improve search quality.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Candidate profiles and CVs are never published or shown in search results. They are shared only with the employer of a job you apply to on JobHeJob. When you apply to an external job, you leave JobHeJob and the source’s own privacy policy applies; we don’t send them your data.
We use service providers to operate the site: Netlify (hosting, database, file storage and authentication) and, with your consent, Google Analytics.
Storage and security
CVs are stored in private storage and can only be downloaded by you or by an employer you applied to, after we check permission on every request. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your profile, CV, saved jobs and applications within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal reasons. Anonymous usage counts are kept for up to 24 months.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time in your dashboard. To request a copy or deletion of your data, or to object to processing, contact us with the topic “Privacy”.
