Ă propos du poste
đ Join SE3 Labs as Assembly Technician! Build the future of autonomous systems with us.
Help us get our autonomous systems airborne. You will own the mechanical integration of our systems and ground equipment. Early team, deeptech hardware, real-world deployment.
About SE3
SE3 Labs is building Spatial AI by combining 3D computer vision with large language models (LLMs). We believe the ability to reason about and act within physical space is foundational to unlocking the next generation of automation, from construction to smart infrastructure, and ultimately, defense.
Now, weâre building the physical platform to bring Spatial AI to life. That means high-performance, real-world robotic systems (starting with UAVs) and weâre looking for a hands-on operator whoâs ready to bring these machines into the real world.
About the Role
As our Assembly Technician, youâll be at the heart of building and iterating our autonomous drone systems. Working closely with our diverse engineering team, youâll own the integration, mechanical build-out, and workshop operations. This is a role for someone who doesnât just want to follow plans, they want to help shape them.
Your work will directly impact flight readiness, technical innovation, and the speed at which we bring our vision to reality.
Your Responsibilities
âą Build & Integrate: Assemble and outfit next-gen UAVs, from avionics to airframe, ensuring systems are flight-ready, reliable, and easily testable.
âą Own the Workshop: Organize tools and materials, manage prototyping equipment like 3D printers, and set up jigs and fixtures for integration and calibration.
âą Test & Learn: Run and support system qualification tests; document issues and feed insights back into engineering and product design.
âą Improve & Optimize: Challenge designs, suggest better tools or processes, and work closely with engineers to iterate faster and smarter.
âą Special Projects: Whether itâs testing a new composite bonding method or tuning flight controllers, youâll jump in where needed and lead where you shine.
Your Profile
âą Hands-on Pro: Youâve completed technical training or an apprenticeship in aircraft mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar field, and have 3+ years of experience working on mechatronic systems, preferably in prototyping or low-rate production.
âą Execution-Obsessed: You take pride in delivering high-quality results, fast. You donât wait for perfect instructions. You take initiative, fix problems, and figure things out.
âą Builderâs Mentality: Youâre excited to start from scratch, unpolished prototypes, and the feeling of getting something real into the sky.
âą Quality-Driven: You think in millimeters, donât accept loose screws or shaky designs, and always look for ways to make things better.
âą Fast Learner: You may not know everything on day one, but you're a sponge. From soldering and harness building to CAD tweaks and drone tuning, youâre ready to level up.
âą Team Player: Youâre collaborative, communicative, and committed to helping the whole team win.
âą Conversational English must have; German is a strong plus.
Especially Valued Bonus Skills
âą Experience tuning or operating UAVs
âą Skilled in adhesives, composites, soldering or harness manufacturing
âą CAD or PLM system proficiency
âą Familiar with warehouse logistics or mechanical part sourcing
âą Certified drone pilot or willing to be trained
Perks & Benefits
âą Get Certified: Weâll train you to become a certified drone pilot
âą 31 Days of Paid Leave: 30 vacation days plus your birthday off
âą Wellness Access: Use our EGYM Wellpass to access gyms, yoga, and more
âą Team Offsites: We go on 2 company retreats per year, our last ones were in Italy and Greece
âą Mentorship: Get paired with experienced mentors to help you grow technically and professionally
Hiring Process
âą Intro Call (30 minutes): Weâll discuss your background, goals, and the mission of SE3 Labs
âą Technical Call (45 minutes): We'll dive deep on your technical experience and how this fits into our hardware team (together with our hardware lead Lukas)
âą Onsite Trial/Case (2 hours): Weâll give you a real-world assembly task or technical challenge to work on together
âą Culture Dinner: We want to get to know each other beyond the bench. This is your chance to meet the team informally
